There is a wealth of super talented artists, crafts people & traders throughout the North East that I get to share markets, fairs and events with. Some I’ve known for a couple of years and are well known regulars at a many North East markets but there are always newbies (like Sarah Gee Fine Art) working their way into the markets too. This page is dedicated to some of my favourite traders with links to their websites.
Dendryad Art – Carrie Dennison is lino printer, illustrator and digital artist with a hippy trippy & pagan theme. She is also an experienced web designer with this very website being part of her portfolio. Carrie often hosts lino printing workshops too, which can be found on her website.
Snapper Photography – Richard Knapper is an excellent photographer, he captures the most amazing coastal sunsets and recently lots of Barn Owl pictures too. He can be found at Alnwick Market and Tynemouth Market most Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Thursdays.
Handmade by Judith – ‘the home of all things gorgeous’. She makes fab shabby chique home and gift ware like clocks, candle sticks, mirrors and plaques. Love the clock I have in my kitchen that she made! Judith also does home parties, you can find information about hosting one on her website.
Oakwood Soaperie – Ceri creates a huge range of soaps, bath bombs, candles and cosmetics from her workshop on the Gibside National Trust Estate, she also regularly attends the Gibside Farmers Market and other local markets too.
Kenspeckle Northumbrian Confectionary – Dawn has a range of the most amazing chocolates, fudge and toffee. My personal favourites are the White chocolate and raspberry fudge & the bags of cinder toffee coal. Mmmmm…..
David Kerr Northumbrian Artist – water colour artist usually featuring North East scenery.
Josie Nichol Artist – oil painter and photographer. Also organises the art and craft fair at Morpeth Town Hall
Diane Stewardson Sea glass jewellery, Diane sources all the sea glass from our North East coastline herself and transforms them into beautiful pieces of jewellery.
Red Dog printing and embroidery, personalised gifts, school uniforms and they also supply trade.
Will Dawes Photography – amazing wildlife photographer, love their tea light holders & lamps
Andrew Kirk Art – wildlife pencil drawings, Andrew uses mechanical pencils and takes hours to create his masterpieces. I have a print of his elephant drawing, definitely an inspiration.
Hanging by a Fred – up cycled and rescued climbing rope made into fabulous jewellery and home products
There are far too many to name everyone but you’re bound to find a vast array of talent at any of the markets and events I attend during the year, click here for details of where I’ll be.
If you do happen to spot yourself in the list I’d be so grateful if you returned the favour on your own webpage. Google loves linked websites!!
