“First Love” – African elephants
Drawn from a photograph I took in Kenya back in 2015, they were the first wild elephants I seen in the Masai Mara – one of the top highlights of my whole life! Elephants are my absolute favourite animals and always have been. They are truely incredible to witness in the wild; silent, majestic, graceful and gentle despite their gargantuan size. I usually give my characters names but these had to have the title of “First Love” – it just made sense!
The original drawing is A2 in size, drawn on Faber Castell paper using Derwent pencils
