Ukraine Mice to Meet You Print

Mice to Meet You – two harvest mice tentatively meeting after the pandemic. I thought the sentiment translated very well to the current crisis facing people from Ukraine. This will be a limited edition print run of 20 prints with at least 50% of the sale price being donated to an organisation supporting people affected by the war in Ukraine. The current chosen organisation is Newcastle Stands with Ukraine. The first print in the series is currently up for grabs in a giveaway on my Facebook Page, just click here for more details. If you would prefer your money to support an alternative charity or organisation please just get in touch.

The original ‘Mice to Meet You’ is done in Faber Castell graphite and colour pencils on A3 paper and is for sale.

This drawing was inspired by the end of the lockdowns and people coming back together again. Following the war in Ukraine I decided to edit one side of the buttercups to represent the colours of the Ukrainian flag, the Naval Ensign. The colours represent the blue sky and the rich and fertile lands of Ukraine, hopefully a symbol of hope for the future. As is the case with war, it is innocent civilians, families and worst of all children that suffer the most so I have decided to use this artwork as a way to raise some vital funds to help those in need.

You can send donations to Newcastle Stands with Ukraine here.
